Read more about Sam and Chinwag here:

“I run Chinwag, one of the UK’s leading communities for new media professionals, which has developed from a single email discussion list to an online publishing company with a great management team, a recruitment service and lots of exciting developments for the future.

The aim is to build a company, that’s ambitious, fun, friendly with a conscience. After all, it’s hard work, so a few laughs along the way certainly won’t go amiss.

Chinwag has developed into a digital media publishing company that provides community forums, websites, networking events and consultancy for the new media industry.

Founded in late 1995, it developed around uk-netmarketing, the UK’s oldest email discussion group for online marketers based at http://www.chinwag.com. This grew to encompass a number of several other lists covering many aspects of the digital media & marketing industry.

Chinwag publishes Chinwag Jobs http://jobs.chinwag.com, the leading recruitment website for the new media industry & Viralmonitor (http://www.viralmonitor.com), an alert service for viral campaigns.

In Feb 2007, Chinwag Live http://live.chinwag.com was launched with monthly panel sessions covering emerging industry issues, and a major networking event, Big Summer ’07 in July 2007.

The consultancy division provides advice for a range of clients on digital marketing, email strategy and emerging trends. Clients include: MSN, BBC & Homechoice.”

Would be great to see Social Media week embracing Hangouts as part of the experience - If Sam and social media week have not already considered this and how it could work and open the event to a potentially global audience, as a GPlus Hangouts trainer, consultant, host, I would love to connect with them …..

GPlus How2Girl Coincidentally, we added the format option for Hangouts for this year’s Social Media Week London. There’s only one on the schedule so far, but we’re hoping to have more for next year. You can check out the full schedule here: http://socialmediaweek.org/london/schedule
